Drawing Tennis
Jan. 22nd, 2007 07:49 pm(If the title makes no sense to you, go and read the comment I left on Yoda's (nitemare_archer) update. The one with the kewlly piccy on)
And here is my next contribution to our drawing spree, inspired by Yoda's picture that was inspired by me (kinda confusing that, but I think it works...) And its more Ed-ness, sorry ^^ I am slowly conquering all my drawing fears you see *nod* In this one I conquered the hands. Hands are DOOM!! Al's armour is also DOOM! So I shall be conquering that one next ^^
Also this is the first picture I've ever done with proper shading. That's kinda sad, isn't it? But the thing is that I ended up shading in most of it, and then the scanner went and made all the shaded bits come out all grainy (or maybe its just that my shading is really really crap >>) Its not as bad as it was, cause I blurred it a bit on Paint Shop at the same time as I was cropping it (and increasing the contrast cause I always sketch way too light ^^;) but it still looks a bit odd. And once again, it is a sketch of a still. Thats the only reason these last two pictures have come out okay-ish. Tell me to make something up out of my head and it'll be as crap as usual *sigh*
Anyway:

Stupido LiveJournal-making-smallness >.<
I don't really like the eyes - when the picture's small they look a bit mismatched. But if you look at it at its full size you can't really tell... And also the bit of shading just between the eyes doesn't look right.
And there is no colour this time either, sumi ^^ It is on the special watercolour paper though, so I may decide to paint it once I've recovered from my last battle with the watercolours -_-'
Yaaaaaaaay Ed! ^______________^

And the eyes and shading bit are fine Katy, it looks awesome! ^^
Also, nothing wrong with drawing stills.^ That means you can change bits and pieces you hate about a certain shot ^^ And yes, agreed, Al's armour ist evil to draw, so just try his human form ^^ It works for me ^___^
And d'you know what else this means? *whacks tennis ball back* My turn... uh...

Date: 2007-01-23 03:27 am (UTC)You've certainly mastered drawing Ed. With that fierce/evil look in his eyes, it is unmistakable as him!
Your fan art is spectacular, more more!
