Hello, hello~ ^^

*hums* I like updating, but its annoyingly rare for me to have anything to actually update with. Especially since any creativity I might have once had seems to have whithered away. (I was right about that storyness by the way - mentioning it did jinx it, and I haven't been able to do anything more with it since >.<) Probably cause of school, what with all its evil exams and homeworks and the 'oh-you-have-to-choose-your-university-and-apply-right-now!' frenzy. So you must forgive me if I use any and every possible excuse to update ^^;;

I shall start with my excuse first. At least then it looks like there's actually half a point to this entry, rather than just me wanting to rant... >>;;

First time I've drawn anything in aaaaaaaaaages. Well, aside from little manga eyes all over my schoolwork. I was going to try and draw the epic quest of the umbrellaboat, but I fails at drawing anything without references >.< Then I found an old newspaper that I'd kept cause there was a really pretty picture in there that I wanted to draw one day but hadn't, and I guess the rest speaks for itself.

Just a pencil outline at the moment, but I might ink and/or watercolour it later if I can be bothered or have homework I need to avoid or something. Or I might do it tomorrow, since we have the day off school *dances gleefully* Coloured with inks and watercolour pencils. Remember I always used to complain that both the inks and the watercolours were evil? Inks and watercolours are evil. And I fail at colouring full stop.

So, that's the creativity done, now for the ranting (if you wish, you may feel free to stop reading here)

Firstly; it's too goddamn warm!! This is supposed to be England. Y'know, freezing cold, rain all the time, that England? So why is it 32 degrees? *flails* (Alright, alright, I'm sure you get much warmer over in Australia, but you know how much I hate warmth and sun >> I'm sure Sky will remember the time I had to collapse onto her nice cold concrete floor after walking to her house in the sun... and that was in winter -_-;;) Any chance Tao wants to swap countries with me? He's usually grouching about it being too cold around this time of year... 

Secondly, university-ness. I (sort of) mentioned before that everyone's sorting out what uni's they're going to and stuff at the moment. And it is muchly annoying, because I haven't much clue what I want to do or where I want to go. I think I'm going to go for chemistry, cause I gets to play with all teh pretty chemicals and stuffst *nods* (Hee, maybe I'll take after my mother.... (scary thought >>)) But it's the writing of the personal statement (where we have to explain why we want to do the course, show that we're motivated and intelligent and are going to contribute to university life and crap like that (do they do those in Australia?)) that's going to be a bitch, since, basically, I have absolutely nothing to write.

Anyhow. I'm sure I've asked you before  but what universities are you planning to go? *has horribubble memory and has forgot* Cause I've found a couple of chemistry courses that have a year's study abroad in Australia, including placements at University of NSW and Macquarie.... (Not that I'm basing my university choices on the possibility of going to Australia to see yous, for which at least being in the same state seems a good start, or anything... >>;;)

And this is more-or-less irrelevant, but I found this in my searches for a really old-fashioned shiny university (my only other criteria for where I want to go ^^;;) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pollock_1.jpg Look at teh shinyness!! And the turrets!! *drools*

...Sorry. I tend to obsess rather more than necessary over architecture ^^;; *plots to steal building plans for the place and incorporate them into designs for own castle* Muahaha.

Well, I think I've done more than enough talking - more than my excuse of a picture can make up for, certainly. I will, hopefully, edit this entry sometime soonish with the inked or painted or whatever-I-decided-to-do-with-it-ed version *nods*

And yeah, exams and uni choosing is evil. *huggles* But we can do it! Let's have faith. *salutes*

I'm planning on either the University of Sydney or the University of Technology in Sydney. So... Sydney, yeah. >>; I won't be leaving home anytime soon, so if you do come over, you know where to find me!

Although that cold concrete floor is nice, green carpet now. ^_^

If you apply for a scholorship I know you have to answer questions /and/ do an interview. >.< Not sure about normal applications, though... We haven't gotten that far. ^^;

And if it makes you feel better, I'm freezing my fingers off writing this because Dad won't let me put on the heater. *sulk*

I should update my LJ more often. Haaa~ Maybe in the holidays? =3
