Whoo! Hello. By the time you get this – which would be now, since you’re reading it – this entry will be almost a week out of date. But, for the sake of posterity, I thought I’d actually write the thing straight after the Kamelot concert. Even if that means writing an entry at… ha! It’s 01:23 ^^ *is easily amused by random things like that* *coughs* …at some ridiculous time in the morning.

Anywho. I’d best make this quick, cause I really should go to bed… (nahh, who needs sleep? I’ll be on a five hour coach journey tomorrow, I’ll sleep then)

Yosh! As the cut says. And I actually managed to get some good ones this time, cause I was really close to the stage ^^ Closest I’ve ever been. Like, there were two or three people in front of me, then the stage *nods* Unfortunately, that also meant close to the massive speakers… *still can’t hear anything* Heh >> It also meant standing up. For six hours (two hours queuing, four in concert. They stuffed the door opening time cause of the daylight savings thing. It was supposed to open at six, but it was six in whatever time it was before, which actually translated to seven, so we had to wait a whole extra hour *curses daylight savings*). My feets is sore!! >.<

Anyways. Photos. Support band(s – there were two) first;

These ones were quite good - moderately similar to Within Temptation. Amberian Dawn, I believe they were called. I gotst one of the random T-shirts they were throwing out into the crowd ^^ (The lead singer had a nice outfit)

The second support band was… uhh, I don’t remember. Something ending in ‘evil’. They were a bit too screamy really – what my mum would describe as ‘angry men’ (though she would describe Kamelot as angry men as well… and Nightwish, despite Colin and I pointing out the singer is actually a woman. Eh.) And their fans were really pushy. I had to keep one at bay with my massive bag (it had a use, yay! ^^) They started a mosh pit as well, but luckily that was on the other side of the room from us otherwise it coulda been scary....

Then Kamelot, yay~! Now, I really must write down the set list before I forget it, so I’ll do that first;

Rule the World

When the Lights Are Down

Soul Society

Centre of the Universe

Pendulous Fall

Anthem

Moonlight

(Guitar and drum solos ^^)

The Human Stain

Haunting

Eden Echo

(Keyboard solo)

Forever

Ghost Opera

Karma

March of Mephisto

Note to self – make sure to always keep notebook and pen in bag, rather than relying on unreliable memory in future. That said, I think I got all of them, and in the right order *ist getting better at this remembering business* ^^

And, of course, pictures! I only had two people in front of me, but of course one of them was one of those ones that always stick their hand in the air just when you’re trying to take photos *sigh* Ah well…

*points to evidence of people sticking their arms in the middle of my photos and grouches*

I see a little silhouette of man, schallaboosh, scallaboosh…. Wait. That’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Wrong band, sorry! ^^;;

(Yeah. I got a lot of photos that just came out as silhouettes… I don’t know quite why I felt the need to sing about it though)

Guitarist no. 1

And his friend, guitarist no. 2 (a.k.a Thomas Youngblood (awesome name)), looking like he’s about to smash his guitar in the second photo… (he didn’t ^^;;)

The lightings not so good, but I had to include this cause I love the pose…

Khan: Rawr, I eats you nao

Random female vocalist: *why-do-I-put-up-with-this? look*

(…yeah. It’s two in the morning, I’m hyper. Ignore my random comments/captions)

She has nice corset though…

Lolface ^^

"Now, how many times do I have to tell you...?"

He looks like a priest here…

Edit: Amy was hanging around while I was uploading the photos, saw this one and said 'it's Doctor Who!' o_O Strange child...

Khan, why do you insist on kneeling down all the time? Don’t you know it makes it really difficult to get good photos? *sob*

(Also, is it just me or is there something vaguely creepy looking about this photo?)

…I don’t think I have a silly comment to make on this one *pouts*

Or this one. Curse you, lack of comments!

Big happy smiley time at the end! (The one in the middle in the keyboarderer person (that is totally a technical term) who is awesome, but I have no other photos of cause the keyboard was on the far side of the stage and obscured by smoke a lot of the time)

So, I think that’s all for now ^^ So much for making it quick… it’s now twenty past two >.< *so should be asleep* Ah well ^^;; I’ll just, uh, finish packing my bag for the fieldtrip now… and maybe go to bed. Maybe… >>

EDIT (Friday afternoon): Whoo, finally back from geography trip! *is dead* I'm posting this now cause its all ready, but I'll probably not be able to post the Wales photos 'til tomorrow (it's already taken an hour to upload all these photos *curses slow internets* and you know what Colin's like about me being on the computer too long...) Comments are luff!

Oooooh, pretty!

You know, I don't actually listen to Kamelot, now that I think about it. That must be rectified!

After the exams. *stomps foot*

Anyway, I am announcing both the lack of Yoda and myself on MSN tonight. Because of study and sleeps. I'll try to be on tomorrow, but... *shrug* Maths and Physics are evil. *huggles in advance* We're really sorry!

Oh, while I'm here, you might like to try a group Marcin gave me. They're the Diablo Swing Orcashtra (Which is really not how you spell it, but blah.) In particular, the 'Balrog Boogie'. For some reason, listening to this made me have a strange dream about a random girl and boy dancing to this song. The girl was the singer, the bo played the saxaphone, and the huge bunch of background dancers and the actual orcashtra were enslaved demons and angels. Twas weird.

I liked the boy's mask though. It was... gah, I dunno. Like Midna's hat combined with glasses and telescope-y stuff. You know?

*shrug*

Anyway, try it out. Awesomeness.

Did you have fun in Wales? I'll try to get online during another break tomorrow and check out any photos you put up! *luff*

Okay, time to get back to work. *sigh*

Before I begin rambling about teh photos, I have a recommedation for your Random Book Quest: 'the book thief' by Markus Zusak.

Anyways...

Kamelot! *flails* I luffles teh Kamelot!

Damnit, why do awesome bands never come to Australia?!

Probably because Australia FAILS. Ignoring the fact that Nightwish and Evanescence appeared for a few nights. ^______^

/Damn/ you were close to the stage! You lucky, lucky Katy, you! *flails* *smirk* Though, all the better to fangirl about, amiright?

*studies list of songs* I have about... half of those, plus a couple more. Must obtain moar songs! [Also, good job with teh remembering! *nodnod* I can never remember that sorta stuff, even though I've only been to two concerts to practise it, but that's just splitting hairs, really.]

O.O All teh purdy colours. I also love your random captions, Katy! *snickers at Khan* Her corset's purdy, too!

... so you said at the end of the next photo. ^^ Uhh... great minds?

Teh lolface ist very *rawr!*

And he does indeed look like a priest! Maybe it's the reverend-esque collar? Amy's right, though... from certain angles. Imagine that, for a second!

... did you make a confuzzled face, then giggle, then squee? Eh, eh?! *cackles*

The group shot at the end is lovely. *nodnod* You're so lucky you got to be so close! Also, how big was the theatre/hall you were put in? I wonder it it was anything like Nightwish.

..... we shall have to come over there and find out! Bwaha!

Anyways, I'm very sorry it took so long for me to comment. *ist major fail*

Oh! *gasp* And thank you very. very, uberly much for the birthday/easter/christmas present! *flails* It's freakin' awesome!

Also, in your letter [which was also highly, highly amusing, and I'll need to use your made-up word in the accompanying letter I send with your presents, because we're all so /late/... *argh, moar fail >.<*] you mentioned it was 180 million yearsa old! As in, it's a fossil?

The Biology freak in my mind just went psycho. XD I love you, Katy! *tackle glomps*

Ooh, I think I've read the Book Thief... in fact, I think I was reading it while I was in Australia that time I came to visit ^^ (yeees, a nice small book to have in my suitcase...) Hee

Sadly, I wasn't close enough to the stage in the concert. I really, really wish I was in the front row. In the middle of Karma, Khan knelt down, took the hand of one of the women in the front row and sang the entire bridge to her... Next time, that is so going to be me *determined to get in the front row* Then I'll really have something to fangirl over ^^

Erm, the place was just a small one. Like, really small. About the size of Sky's rec room thing, I would guess. They were supposed to have it at a bigger place, but then that theatre got closed down so they had to relocate it to where they had the concert last year.

Yay, teh present arrived! And yosh, the pendanty thing is a fossil. I think there was a gold sticker on the little box it came in, which said it was 180 million years old, and that it came from Lyme Regis... and maybe what period it came from? *can't remember* But yes ^^ Glad you like it!
