Triumph of the Scanner Manual
Jan. 31st, 2007 07:18 pm(Actually, thats a complete lie. I didn't use a scanner manual at all, I just sort of guessed where the leads went, and blew several things up in the process. But I did finally get it working! It took me over an hour though... It turned out I had everything wired correctly right from the start. The reason it took so long to get it working? I forgot to turn the stupid thing on -_-')
Anyway! I have returned to the drawing tennis! Thus:
I did the entire thing in ink! ^^ Which would have been good if not for the fact that the inks are evil. They ist eviler than the watercolours! The way I used them was just like using watercolours, only if you made a mistake you couldn't erase it, or if you left it too long the ink would dry and then when you carried on with the same bit it would be a different colour and lots of little lines >.< Plus I didn't even do the original sketch on the watercolour/arty paper, so when I did the inks it got all wet and bumpy. So eeeeeeeevil it twas!!! *cowers from the inks*
Despite the fact this took be absolutely ages, I'm still not that pleased with it. The inking, for reason mentioned above, came out crap. And I'm not quite sure about the way either of them came out. Al is understandable if the armour isn't perfect - this is my first time drawing him and armour ist also evil. But I would have liked to do Ed a bit better, considering this is the third time I've drawn him (not including various sketches in school books to annoy teachers, muaha).
But anyway. Tis done, tis scanned, tis updated, so I shall stop complaining and let you enjoy it as much as possible (which isn't very much, but hey... >>) As for me, I must go and sit and stare at the calander until it gets to Friday. Because on Friday I shall get to see my father, and my father shall have the whole series of FMA on DVD for me!! XD I expect that there shall be much inspiration for drawing.....
