Well, Expo weekend is over. Which, of course, means that it is time to go home, have some food that is not pocky, relax a bit, and then get sorting through the photos. All that is done, and thus, I bring you photospam!

Y’know what I said about aiming to be really proactive and actually go and ask people for photos? …I failed. Miserably. I did stalk the photoshoots though, and thus have a lot of photos from that. I think something like 95% of my photos from Saturday came from the FFVII meetup and photoshoot, heh. ^^;; I managed to gatecrash the Bleach photoshoot on the Sunday, so I do have some pictures of that as well. But again, it’s mostly FFVII. Sorry. ^^;;

Okaya. So, I was cosplaying as Cissnei. There were something like five Cissnei’s that I saw there? And five or so Reno’s as well. I’m gonna go find other people’s albums of photos they’ve uploaded and trawl through those as soon as I’m done here, so I’ll see if I can find you the one of our Turk group. There was one Elena and one Tseng, and then all these redheads everywhere, which was quite amusing. ^^

Anyway. I, uh, don’t actually have any photos of myself. I’m sorry! I am intending to find some photos that I’m in during aforementioned other-peoples-photo-album raid, and shall, of course, either post them or link you to them or something. *nodnod* In the meantime, however, have a picture of my completed shuriken.

I was up at six on the morning of the Expo finishing that. Typically. So, the painting’s not great. And that photo is after a day at the Expo, so the poor thing is a little worse for wear. ^^;;

Anyhow. Let’s get on with some proper cosplay photos now, ne? Starting with the FFVII photoshoots! For some reason, one on Saturday started off with a lot of deaths…

Then Zack was being emo, so Aerith went over and glomped him. I’m not sure how, but somehow that resulted in a massive group glomp. I don’t have any photos of when it was at its largest – twenty or thirty people, including some completely random non-FFVII people who jumped in for the hell of it – since I also ended up joining in. But afterwards they decided to play ‘sit on the Cloud’, which I did get photos of.

Then somehow another Cissnei and a Reno got into a fight with two Squalls or Leons or whoever that guy is…

Cissnei tried to get Seph to join their side, since they would obviously then pwn all, but he got intercepted by a Cloud and battle ensued. Someone passing by had an iPod + speakers + One Winged Angel and started playing that, so there was background music and everything. It was epic. XD. I have video of the last part of that fight, but it’s really not worth uploading it to YouTube and embedding and all that. If you wanna see, I’ll email the file to you or something.

OT3. Cloud has teh sexy glasses.

I also later saw these three wandering around with Cloud and Seph holding hands. It was really sweet. X3

Cloud and Sephiroth get into another fight.

Another Cloud, noticing himself in distress, went over to help, and then somehow it multiplied into three Clouds against three Sephiroths. The battle was then hijacked by the Turks and a Yuffie, and turned into a massive free-for-all. (No photos of that either, since I was one of the Turks that ran in to join the battle. ^^)

Cid came over and decided he would then take on all of us and win. Pacman does not agree.

And how about a few other fandoms? I believe I mentioned gatecrashing the Bleach photoshoot on Sunday…

The group shot was so big it was impossible to fit everyone in. This is just the middle third.

Other Bleach groups, though I wouldn’t be able to tell you what they’re supposed to be separated into.

Renji and… I think those are supposed to be Ichigos? The hair’s not great… have a double duel.

Yes, there is a massive yaoi banner in the background. No, I don’t know what it was doing there. ^^;;

There was also a Bleach group doing that Hare Hare dance or whatever it is, led by Byakuya and Renji. That was during the Masquerade though, and my camera + crappy lighting + peoples heads in the way = fail, so no photos of that, sadly. >.<

And finally, a few random cosplays. Although, like I said, I am teh fail with asking for photos, so there’s not many of these.

Ditto the last one. That dress… *drools over* I know I have heard about this outfit. I think the character wears it for one episode or something, and it’s pretty infamous as an epic canon crossplay. I just can’t remember who the character was or what show it was from. ^^;;

And, of course, no convention is complete without buying things you don’t really need for lots of money. So, what did I buy? Not all that much, actually, since I am poor, but have a list anyway;

The freebie bags were pretty good this year too. We got a proper DVD (I got a .hack one), a Lost T-shirt (I don’t actually watch that show, but I guess that’d be pretty cool if you were a fan) and a memory stick shaped like a bullet (weird, but awesome), as well as all the usual advertising and posters.

So, yeah. Lotsa fun. We so need to go to another convention together, you guys! *flail* Actually having someone there to hang out with and talk to would raise the level from ‘fun’ to ‘epic’, and nothing beats a bit of epicness. ^^

I also have to start planning my cosplay for May. Ideas, people? (Apart from gothic-lolita!Sephy, Yoda. As epic as that would be, I would feel like a complete and utter idiot actually wearing it at a convention. And when I feel like an idiot, I need to have someone with me who I can snap and sulk at, else I get all twitchy and slightly homicidal. So, possibly not a good idea. ^^;; I can always do the cosplay just for you and Sky though.)

But more importantly, it is time for me to go on that photo album raid! So I shall return tomorrow or sometime with some photos that actually have me in them, ‘kay? ^^
