Well, it's about time...
Yosh. I think its been five weeks since I updated here? Well, there hasn't really been anything noteworthy happening. Until Wednesday, when I went to see a Nightwish concert, yay! I thought you might be interested, and I actually managed to get some good photos, so... photospam time!!
So. Nightwish concert. I have no picture of it, cause it was too dark outside and a photo wouldn't do it justice anyway... but the queue!!! *wails* We had to walk round the block. Twice. And it was a big block. And then when we got to the doors, they closed our queue and we had to go and join the back of the other one T_TStill, I got to wander round looking at everyone's outfits, of which there were some very awesome ones ^^ (I have an awful weakness for long-haired pretty boys in old-fashioned clothing, it's really quite ridiculous -_-'') Anyways! Photos!
I'm sure her hair was black before?
PYROTECHNICS, WHOO!!
They had lots of fancy effects this time ^^ Including big flame bursts, something that looked like one of those fountain-type fireworks you get, giant catherine wheel things, fake snow, and streamers and bits of paper that burst out of somewhere or other over the audience. I had fun playing 'catch teh special effects!' on my camera ^^
Hehe, it looks like her skirt's on fire ^^
The guitarist with the two plaits in his beard (that always makes me laugh) is the one on the left. He had some quote worthy moments. I can't remember quite what he said, but it was something along the lines of "Your underwear's too big" (in reference to some that someone had thrown on stage). It's not so funny just written down, but it was really random in the middle of a concert XD And then they were talking to each other, and Annette asked him how he felt tonight. He mentioned something about it being nice to be back on stage, then paused and added "Slightly drunk..."
*cough* Anyway. You'll probably want to know what songs they did too, ne? *lists*
Seven Days to the Wolves
Dead to the World
The Siren
Amaranth
Romanticide
Dead Boy's Poem
The Poet and the Pendulum
Nemo
Sahara
The Islander
Escapist (I'd never actually heard this one before (it's a bonus track on one of the singles from the Dark Passion Play album, but I never get the singles so I missed it...) so I looked it up and now I'm addicted to it ^^)
Dark Chest of Wonders
Ghost Love Score
I Wish I Had An Angel
One last thing on the subject of the concert - the support band (they actually had some really good songs in terms of the tune and that - it was just a bit of a shame they completely obscured the wonderful tunes with a rather unnecessary amount of screaming). I want the opening to that last song as a ringtone XD (Look up Shut Your Mouth by Pain and listen to the bit at the very beginning, if you're intriguied)
Now, a few other random things. The un-butterflied version of the photos from Painshill Park!

(It seems rather ironic that I hide my face when putting the photos up for public viewing, when its doubtful anyone's even going to bother looking at them, and then give you the unobscured versions when you are - or rather, Nat is ^^- the ones most likely to take them and abuse them ^^;; (but dun worry, I don't mind))
What else? Ahh, a random website for you to look up. Cause meerkats are awesome. (Sound on is good)
http://www.comparethemeerkat.com/
I haven't the foggiest why, but our teacher looked that up in the middle of class. And then tried to read on of the meerkat descriptions out to us, but couldn't because he was laughing too hard. We also learn that 'diem perdidi' means 'I destroyed the day', which is useless but kewl ^^
Also in that lesson, we occasionally get given random logic puzzles to solve. And - partly because logic puzzles are awesome, partly because I'm a little stuck on it and would welcome ideas/solutions (>>) - I thought I'd pass on the puzzle to you in case you need a reason to procrastinate more ^^ So;
"Three friends of mine, Arsinoe, Beatrice and Clarence, happen to live on the same street, Logic Lane, which has twenty-three houses, numbered, you will be relieved to hear, with strict logicality from 1 to 23. They are a curious bunch: although I have been to each of their houses, none of them have ever themselves been to any of the other's; in fact, they do not even know where the others live. They each each know what number their own house is, of course, and I have told them all that their house numbers, if added together, make 10. Beyond that, they know nothing.
Arsinoe, however, thinks she knows where everyone lives. That is because the other day she asked Beatrice 'do you live at an odd-numbered house or and even-numbered one?' and was able to deduce the numbers from Beatrice's reply. But Beatrice was lying, and in fact lives at a lower-numbered house than Arsinoe thinks.
Where do my three friends each live?"
So long-winded! >.< But yosh. If you ever get really bored, there's something to try ^^
One last thing (it is the last, I promise) also vaguely relating to school. The school magazine to be exact. After reading Sky's short story, I thought it might be fun to try and write a short story of my own (yosh! Your story is inspirational Sky ^^). I also thought I might as well do something for the school magazine, just so I have a deadline and stuff. Unfortunately, the school magazine has a theme for everything and anything submitted, so if I do write something, it has to be on 'discovery'. I'm useless at thinking of ideas for things with themes, so... any ideas? *puppydog eyes*
And that, I believe, will be all for now. Sorry about the uber-long update and many photos - I'm making up a little for not doing anything for a month... ^^;; *resolves to try not to leave so much time between updates in future*
